All members are required to follow the Club Covid-19 Guidelines here and complete the booking form below (scroll down) before coming to the Daresbury Track, as the track is open 7 days per week and there is now a limit of Max 12 Members per day, please see below for rules.

If a member is a resident within a Very High risk area, you should not travel out and we advised against coming to the Daresbury Track, in the interest of member safety.

If your a member and resident outside the very high risk area (Medium or High) you can travel in and out but use common sense and observe all rules applied to the area in which you are resident, as well as the rules which we have implemented at the track.

The club house is officially shut it will ONLY be open to turn on the signals. You must always sign the attendance register online on the website for Track and Trace purposes. The rule of 6 still applies as well as masks, hand sanitiser, and keep distance from other households etc.

We are now allowing a “Track Maintenance/Working Party” group of upto 6 members to attend the Daresbury Track as well as the “Loco Running” or “Boiler Test” groups (also upto 6 members) – both groups and bubbles must all continue to social distance and keep apart as much as possible whilst at the Daresbury Track (Max 12 members as any one time)

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK OR ATTEND DARESBURY TRACK IF YOU HAVE (or a family member):

  • ANY SYMPTOMS OF COVID 19
    • OR HAVE BOOKED A TEST
    • OR HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
  • BEEN IN CONTACT WITH ANYONE WHO HAS BOOKED A TEST
    • OR HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
  • YOUR LOCO RUNNING GROUP OF MAX 6 MEMBERS HAS BEEN AFFECTED BY “ANY” THE ABOVE
  • UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THESE ARRANGEMENTS

IF ANY OF THE ABOVE APPLIES TO YOU OR YOUR GROUP/HOME, PLEASE:

  • SELF ISOLATE FOR 10 DAYS AND DO NOT COME TO THE TRACK
  • NOTIFY THE COMMITTEE/EMERGENCY CONTACT ASAP
  • DO NOT BOOK IN TO COME TO DARESBURY TRACK
PLEASE ALSO CANCEL ANY BOOKINGS IF YOU ARE IN SELF ISOLATION OR IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND

*** If you require assistance opening/locking up the track site, you must check with an emergency contact from the club that they are available before booking! ***

SAFETY RULES:

  1. The Track will reopen with limited access to MEMBERS ONLY who wish to drive their locomotives from TUESDAY 22ND September 2020.
  2. Members should “self organise’ into groups to socially distance, minimum 2 and maximum 6 per group.
  3. The MAXIMUM number of members at the track at any one time is 12, as we now allow for a group of 6 “Loco Running” and another group of 6 “Track Maintenance/Working Party” on selected days.
  4. Use of hand sanitiser and /or gloves to be used before and after opening /closing padlocks, gates doors etc. and using any any club site maintenance equipment.
  5. Use of face masks is up to individual members.
  6. A MINIMUM of 2 persons (club rules) with a MAXIMUM of 6 can attend on any one day for Loco Running.
  7. Track Maintenance/Working Party group of upto 6 members to attend the Daresbury Track as well as the “Loco Running” or “Boiler Test” groups (also upto 6 members) – both groups and bubbles must all continue to social distance and keep apart as much as possible whilst at the Daresbury Track
  8. To avoid exceeding these numbers and to prevent people travelling distances to find that all slots are taken, Please use the booking form below.
    1. For Example: There could be 2 groups of 3, or 1 group of 6 – everyone must book in using the form individually and ALL Social distance, unless from the same household.
  9. Social distancing as per Government rules of at least “1 metres plus” with PPE/Mask (2 metres preferred) within track and car park.
  10. We suggest running on any day of the week to relieve pressure on the normal running days of Wednesday and Sunday Emergency Contacts ie The Chairman can be contacted for gate lock codes and/or advise on how to open up/close up the site.
  11. If members do not have internet or are having difficulty with the booking form they must ask a fellow member to book their name and details for contact tracing online via the form on the website.
  12. Please do not use the steaming bays that are taped off.
  13. No sharing of Model engineering equipment or locomotives and only one person per truck as a passenger.
  14. No rides for public or family members and no visitors from other clubs.
  15. Observe use of one way system except for returning locomotives to loading bay.
  16. Own food and drink only.
  17. The Club house will remain closed.
  18. No use of Club toilets unless unavoidable call of nature.
  19. All attendees must BOOK IN ADVANCE USING THE FORM BELOW – DO NOT COME TO THE TRACK UNLESS YOU HAVE BOOKED IN! https://www.wdmes.org.uk/tt/
  20. Please be considerate to other members when making bookings – if you book too many days in advanced they may be cancelled to allow fair usage for all members.

These changes will be in force until government rules change. We are doing this reluctantly, but remember we are still vulnerable especially our older members. We want you to stay safe, but with common sense and following the above rules we hope that the club will continue to thrive and you can enjoy running your locomotive.

Natter Nights and Speaker Meetings at St.Mary Magdalenes Church Hall are cancelled until January 2021 at the earliest as their rules prevent us meeting.

Please note: If a day is not available to book, that means the maximum number of 6 members has been reached and it is full – you must not come to the Daresbury track unless you have booked a day.
